| The novice level is an introductory program to competitive synchronized swimming. The focus is on learning the basics of the sport, enjoying being a part of a team and having fun. Competitions consist of four required figures and/or prescribed novice routines. All novice swimmers perform the same routine at a competition, regardless of age or club.
